Cricketing pundits didn't  give England the slightest of chances when the Super 10 stage of World T20 began, but here they are now ready to take on New Zealand in the first semifinal on Wednesday. Kiwis on the other hand came into the tourney on the back of their legendary captain Brendon McCullum's retirement. Although fans were coy about new skipper Kane Williamson's leadership credentials, it was seen that the right-hander had very easily stepped into McCullum's shoes, taking bold decisions and leading his team into the last four, winning all the league games in the process.

The three lions are time and again termed as travellers in ICC event with their only inter-continental trophy being the 2010 World T20 silverware. Whereas the Black Caps were inches away from 2015 50-over World Cup but the Australians ran them out of steam. So this will be an welcome opportunity for the teams to prove their mettle.
