Watch: When Bravo and Pollard came close to exchanging blows

Trouble broke out between West Indian stars Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard as they were involved in an on-field sledging incident during Gujarat Lions' (GL) last league match against Mumbai Indians (MI).

In the 14th over of the Mumbai innings, Pollard came into bat with the scorecard reading 120 for four and was greeted with a well directed bouncer by his Caribbean teammate. He defended it right under his nose and the ball rolled onto the pitch before Bravo picked it up in his follow through and progressed towards the tall right-hander.

The Gujarat all-rounder was in mood for some verbal volleys and came very close to Pollard. Seeing this the latter lifted his bat and held his poise as if warning his national mate that he would hit him. Bravo was in no mood to back off and he bumped into the Mumbai batsman with his chest.

Pollard remained calm and didn't react, as a result a furious Bravo went back to his bowling run up. His facial expressions confirmed the fact that he wasn't in a mood to fool around.

This match was very crucial for both the sides and perhaps that got the emotions overflowing. In the end Gujarat Lions won the encounter by six wickets and progressed to the play-offs while MI will need a miracle and help from other teams to qualify for play-offs.
