When given a chance to play in first team for a side contesting in Italy's top flight, a player would expect to make minimal mistakes to help his side grab a victory.

But that wasn't exactly on US Sassuolo keeper Consigli's mind when his audacious attempt to clear a back pass failed horribly.

You may give sympathies to player who score own goals by 'mistake', like while clearing crosses or unexpectedly deflecting off them. But when it's through sheer lethargy, you seriously laugh it out.

Already trailing 2-1 in the tie, Consigli received a back pass from his team mate hoping to send it further up field. Sensing no pressure from opposition attackers, Consigli miserably kicked the ball at an impossible angle to slot the ball back in his own net.

Fortunately for Consigli, he is not the only one to achieve such a feat as  Malaga's Carlos Kameni too had a similar moment. In a La Liga encounter between Valencia and Malaga, Kameni hilariously punched an air ball in his own net.
