Bangladesh cricketers have already made a name for themselves for all the wrong reasons. From celebrating victories prematurely and ending up on the losing side to opting for disastrous reviews to getting run out hilariously, they have done it all. And the latest addition to this hilarious saga is opener, Soumya Sarkar.

Chasing an improbable victory target of 457 against Sri Lanka in the Galle Test, Bangladesh started well with a 67-run partnership between Tamim Iqbal and Sarkar. But they collapsed spectacularly after losing unbeaten overnight batsman Sarkar in the second ball of the fifth day.

Sarkar got a leading edge off the first ball. It somehow missed a fielder. However, the next ball of medium pace Asela Gunaratne clipped the bails of his off stump to dismiss the left-hander with his overnight score of 53. The umpire signalled 'out' but Sarkar didn't realise that the bails were already lying on the ground and much to everyone's shock, asked for a review. The umpires looked perplexed too and then in all probabilities, Iqbal might have explained the situation to his young counterpart as the left-hander trudging back to the pavilion.

Watch the incident here:

Rangana Herath grabbed six wickets in the second innings to become Test cricket's most successful left-arm spinner as Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by 259 runs.
