So Barcelona FC, or at least their Twitter handle, decided to be classy about Real Madrid’s 11th Champions League win and congratulated their bitter rivals. Their official Twitter handle tweeted: “"Congratulations @realmadrid for winning the Champions League title in Milan#UCLfinal ". While some liked the move, others, to put it mildly, didn’t like this sort of sportsmanship and asked the handle to delete their tweet.

Star striker Cristiano Ronaldo smashed a match-winning penalty as Real Madrid grabbed the Champions League title for an unprecedented 11th time after completing a 5-3 shootout victory against Atletico Madrid at San Siro stadium last evening.
Defender Sergio Ramos put his side ahead in the 15th minute of the match before Atletico striker Antoine Griezmann missed the penalty at the start of the second half, Sport24 reported. Substitute Yannick Carrasco, however, managed to hand Atletico with the equalizer in the 79th minute of the match to send the game in the extra time. In the penalty shootout, Lucas Vazquez, Marcelo and Gareth Bale netted three goals for Real while Griezmann, Gabi and Saul Niguez scored for Atletico in reply to equal the score. Romos scored the fourth penalty for Real to give his side a lead yet again. Subsequently, Atletico defender Juanfran missed the fourth penalty for his side, giving Ronaldo with a chance to seal victory for Real.
