Sri Lanka reclaims top spot in ICC T20 rankings following World T20 win

Sri Lanka, who beat India in the finals of the ICC World Twenty20 on Sunday at Dhaka, has reclaimed the top spot on the ICC T20 International Team Rankings Table.

Before the semi-finals, India had gone past Sri Lanka to become the No 1-ranked T20 side and as such, the final therefore was also a contest for either side to reclaim or retain the top spot.

According to Sport24, Sri Lanka gained three ratings points to finish on 133, three ahead of India, to move into the top position.

The report mentioned that there was no other change inside the top ten at the end of the tournament with South Africa, who was were knocked out by India in the semi-finals, remaining in the No 4 spot.
