After holding Shillong Lajong in the last derby, the revamped Rangdajied United will have the upper hand when they take on Mumbai FC in the 11th round of the Airtel I-League at the Balewadi Sports Complex here on Wednesday.

The only setback for the Meghalaya club is the absence of main striker Edmar Figueira who is nursing a groin injury. But the new signings from IMG-Reliance – Gouramangi Moirangthem, Subrata Paul, Tomba Singh and Manandeep Singh – should add to their strength.

“Edmar is yet to recover but these four guys should help us shape up. They have made a difference which was proved in our last outing,” said Rangdajied coach Santosh Kashyap.

Even Mumbai has roped in four players on loan from IMG-Reliance – Mohammad Rafi, N.P Pradeep, Peter Costa and Khelemba Meetei.

“Though we have signed these players but their paperwork is yet to be completed. There are chances that they could make it to the match against Rangdajied,” said Mumbai FC manager Henry Picardo.

Going into the game after a long break, Mumbai will be hoping to clinch their first home win of the season. They are placed 11th with seven points. Rangdajied, lying at the bottom of the points table, is yet to create an impact.

Bengaluru FC defeated Salgaocar 2-1 to move to the second spot of the Airtel I-League football in a fiery eleventh round clash at the Duler Stadium on Tuesday.
