Pooja Ghatkar brought glory to the country on Friday by winning a bronze medal at the Women's 10m Air Rifle event at ISSF Shooting World Cup.

In her first World Cup appearance after making it to two finals, Pooja finished third with a total of 228.8 in the 10m Air Rifle final behind China's Mengyao Shi, who won a gold medal with 252.1 in final and Dong Lijie, who won the silver medal.

Vinita Bhardwaj and Megha Sajjanar, who were favoured by the National Rifle Association of India to win medals as well, failed to qualify for the final and finished 16th and 20th respectively.
