Robin van Persie ends Red Devil vs Gunner debate by scoring to help Manchester United thump Arsenal

Arsene Wenger recently made a comment saying Robin van Persie would always be a gunner at heart, this came to bite him back as the very same man ensured his team Arsenal were defeated by Manchester United on Sunday.

Last year Van Persie scored two goals but the celebration he displayed after Sunday's goal was of a man proving a point as he raced towards the corner-flag going on to slide and  embrace of Wayne Rooney.

Manchester United won the match 1-0 riding on the goal which redeemed not just the Dutch player but also his team manager David Moyes.

Manchester United's win at Old Trafford meant that they can still dream of the EPL title as this match is being considered their season's best so far.

Robin van Persie hugging David Moyes saw two vindicated men together as they managed to get a huge weight off their backs as they looked relived and happy.

The mind games seem to have failed as Moyes, Van Persie and Manchester United emerged clear winners over Wegner and his Arsenal team.
