London: Red Bull has claimed that their driver Sebastian Vettel did not refuse to comply with a request to let his teammate Daniel Ricciardo pass him in Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix.

Red Bull is reportedly concerned over how to help the four consecutive time world champion regain his best form and his mounting frustration after another defeat by his new teammate.

According to the Independent, Red Bull team principle Christian Horner said that Vettel is a race driver, adding that they employ these racers because they have that fighting spirit.

Horner said that Vettel has not won four World Championships by not being a racer, adding that he would of course ask questions if he is to understand, but as soon as he understands the reasoning, the racer let Ricciardo pass.

Vettel said that there were a lot of things at the Chinese Grand Prix, which he does not really like at the current stage, but at the end he had the same car as Ricciardo's and if one looks at the raw result, the Australian had been a lot quicker in Shanghai.

Horner, who is looking to shed some light on the World Champion's problems that have made a fifth successive title look unlikely, said that Vettel cannot get that feeling from the car which he is looking for, the report added.
