Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has been handed a two-game suspension by the Spanish Football Federation, according to reports.

Ancelotti is alleged to have 'ironically applauded' officials during his side’s 2-2 draw with Valencia on Saturday.

As per RFEF rules, Ancelotti has violated 'sportsman like conduct' during the game with his conduct towards the officials. The 55-year-old will now miss his side’s remaining La Liga fixtures against Espanyol and Getafe, as the reigning European champions attempt to cut down Barcelona’s four-point lead at the top.

Real Madrid also host Juventus on Thursday, as they aim to overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit in order to seal a place in the Champions League final against Barcelona at Berlin on June 7.
