There is no relief in sight for wrestler Narsingh Yadav after he failed the second dope test (B sample) which was conducted on him on July 5, reports ANI. Narsingh, already under provisional suspension for failing a June 25 dope test, has also flunked the second test done on both his 'A' and 'B' samples taken on July 5.

"It's the same substance that was found in the first test. It was unlikely that it would go out of the system," a Wrestling Federation of Indian source said referring to banned anabolic steroid methandienone.

Narsingh Yadav fought a tough battle against two-time Olympic medal winner Sushil Kumar to be part of Indian contingent participating in Rio Olympics 2016. But after the results of random doping test done by National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) came positive on Monday, his chances of participating have faded.

In a shocking revelation earlier in the day, an alleged attempt to sabotage the food intake of the wrestler was identified. WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that the cook at the training camp in Sonepat has identified two persons who allegedly mixed the contaminated substance into his food.

"We suspect Jitesh, who fights in the 75kg category, and Sumit, both of them live in Chhatarsaal. And one of them has admitted to spiking Narsingh's food. I can't say on the conspiracy and can't say whether they did this on their own or on someone's asking. We cannot investigate this but we support Narsingh's demand for a CBI inquiry," said WFI chief.

But the 26-year-old's food supplements have reportedly been found to be clean in tests conducted after his allegations, dealing a further blow to his Rio hopes.

Narsingh Yadav has already filed a FIR and is demanding a CBI probe in the matter. Members of Parliament and WFI authorities are also backing the wrestler.
