Having a fine spell with captaining India in the World T20, Ms Dhoni will now shift focus to the Indian Premier League as he looks all set to captain his new franchise- Rising Pune Supergiants. MS Dhoni, who was the first pick of the Pune side in the recently concluded auction, was appointed as their skipper in January earlier this year. MS Dhoni, who was the captain of Chennai Super Kings since the inception of IPL, will be seen in a new jersey as both Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were suspended from the Indian Premier League for a tenure of two years. This action was taken following charges of match fixing on officials from both teams.

With the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League slated to start from 9th April. Ms Dhoni didn't waste any time as he began his practise sessions with side by posting a photo on social media.

MS Dhoni posted this pic on Facebook with the caption: "In the practice session with my new IPL team."

Of his previous Chennai team mates, only R Ashwin and Faf du Plessis remain while his mates, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja were picked by the other new franchise, Gujarat Lions. Ajinkya Rahane and Steven Smith of Rajasthan Royals too join MS Dhoni for this term of the IPL.
