Australia’s Ashes hero Mitchell Johnson has vowed to keep aggression on against South Africa by using short-pitched bowling that he used so effectively against England.

At the same time, he cautioned that the World No.1 Proteas will provide a tough challenge, despite the absence of all-rounder Jacques Kallis.

Australia comes up against A.B. de Villiers (No.1 in the world), Hashim Amla (No.4) and Graeme Smith (No.9); all currently among the best Test batsmen playing the game.

Johnson said the tight Aussie bowling team can get on top of the South Africans the same way they did against England this summer to claim an upset series win, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

The three-Test series starts on February 12.

Short, aggressive bowling, particularly from Johnson, saw England come unstuck in five Test matches this summer.
