Hell in a Cell is the next monthly Pay Per View Event for the WWE. Hell in a Cell emanates from Dallas, Texas on October 26, 2014. Without Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan, who are still injured, WWE's top tier looks hollow. Yet, the company has managed to do a reasonably good job of hyping up the event by highlighting the 'brutality' of the cell, and adding stipulations to several matches. Let us look at the match card and predict the winners and losers.

1) AJ Lee v/s Paige for the Divas Title: This feud was getting stale, but the addition of Alicia Fox on the heel Paige's side has given some new lease to it. Paige's 'new best friend' might just help her regain the title against AJ Lee on Sunday at Hell in a Cell. It is difficult to predict this match because the Divas title seems to keep changing hands between AJ and Paige often. But look for Paige to upset AJ at Hell in a Cell.

2) Sheamus v/s the Miz for the US Title: This feud has been as much about Damien Sandow aka Mizdow, as about the Miz and Sheamus. Frankly, none of these three wrestlers seem to be high up in the imagination of WWE Creative, and this is one way to give them something valuable to do. Damien Mizdow though has been very entertaining and had the crowd chanting for him. In my opinion Miz is set to become US champion thanks to interference from Mizdow. WWE have the option of making Mizdow turn on the Miz and thus turn face, but we are not used to that level of creativity from WWE's Creative department any more.

3) Dolph Ziggler v/s Cesaro for the Intercontinental Title: This is a 2-out-of-3 falls match. This feud is again about two stars who are floating around in the mid card for a long time now. Cesaro won a No 1 contenders' Battle Royal on Smackdown several weeks ago, but lost to IC champion Ziggler later on. A Cesaro victory should be expected if Triple H still believes in the star. But it is likely to be a disputed one to allow the feud to continue.

4) Rusev v/s Big Show: This is a grudge match, and Rusev is in the middle of a massive push. As the 'Russian' representative against America, Rusev went clean over Jack Swagger, then over Mark Henry in the months preceding Hell in a Cell. While Big Show has fended off the Rusev challenge to date, expect Rusev to beat Big Show to continue his push and preserve his heel heat with the crowd. Remember that Rusev is yet to be pinned or made to submit in the WWE. A more reasonable result would be a loss to Big Show and a win at Survivor Series, but WWE Creative is too invested in Rusev at the moment to think of that possibility.

5) Brie Bella v/s Nikki Bella: The Brie-Nikki sister v/s sister feud has played on for a long time, and what started as an interesting rivalry soon became cringe-worthy TV. But it will not end after Hell in a Cell. The reason is the stipulation in this match - the loser has to become the winner's personal assistant for a month, or she will be forced to quit the WWE. In my opinion, Nikki Bella will beat Brie Bella with some interference, and Brie will then be forced to choose. After all, Nikki has whined and whined on TV about how she was the 'inferior' sister to Brie when they were growing up.

6) Goldust and Stardust v/s The Usos for the Tag Team Titles: Ever since Goldust and Stardust turned heel, they have merely been going through the motions. Their heel turn has failed to grab the interest of the fans. The duo were much more famous during their face run, and WWE hasn't really cared to make them look like evil heels. Expect Goldust and Stardust to get the dirty pin and retain the Tag Team titles against the Usos.

7) John Cena v/s Randy Orton inside the Cell: The winner of this match gets a title shot against the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. That was the only way WWE could have created a modicum of interest in this match, because fans have watched Orton v/s Cena a hundred times before. It's easily the least interesting match on the card, yet the one with the most at stake. An Orton victory would be interesting, as a Lesnar-Orton feud would be fresh, but that could happen only if WWE is planning to turn Orton face. With rumours of an injury as well as rumours of WWE's plan for Cena-Lesnar Round 3, I expect the Superman to beat Orton to a chorus of boos.

8) Dean Ambrose v/s Seth Rollins inside the Cell: It is essential that this feud ends soon, because it's been playing out for some time now. Besides, both Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins need to move on from their grudge about the break up of the Shield, if they are to progress to bigger things. Both are in the middle of a big push and need to find more established opponents like Cena and Orton soon. But it's likely that the feud will continue into Survivor Series, because a Dean Ambrose dirty victory seems the most possible outcome. I would imagine that Randy Orton would like to take revenge for being Curb Stomped by Rollins last week on Raw. My prediction is an Orton RKO to Rollins resulting in a Dean Ambrose win. That might also turn Orton face. I am curious to see which match goes on last on the card - Cena v/s Orton or Ambrose v/s Rollins. That will give us an idea of whether WWE is thinking of a face Orton going against a heel Brock Lesnar later on.

WWE has managed to spark a modicum of fan interest in Hell in a Cell, though RAW over the past few weeks has seemed to be repetitive and generally mediocre. It remains to be seen whether the event lives up to the hype created around it.
