The Sweden international has expressed his intention to leave PSG and come to the Premier League.
Manchester United are ready to offer a mega deal to star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to lure him to Premier League. Sources confirmed that the PSG talisman is United's main transfer target in the summer.
United are reportedly willing to offer him a short-term deal worth £24m. This deal is worth a staggering £250,000-a-week to the Swede and will make him one of the highest paid Premier League players along side David Silva and Wayne Rooney.
Ed Woodward, executive vice-chairman of the club, expects this deal would snub any offers from rivals Chelsea and Arsenal due to United's financial stronghold.
Ibrahimovic failed to get in terms for a new contract with PSG, which means that he will be a free agent in the coming transfer window. A club source said, “The team needs a major injection of talent and some superstar additions. Zlatan fits the bill. He might be getting on a bit but he can still do it at the highest level and would be worth the risk in terms of big wages because no fee is involved.”
This transfer increases the speculation of under fire boss Louis van Gaal getting the sack and fan favourite Jose Mourinho filling in his boots. LVG has been the centre of criticism this season after failed ventures in UEFA Champions League and eventually the Europa League as well. A more than remote chance of the PL Title this season adds to the Dutchman's misery.
From the times when Ibra and Van Gaal were at Ajax back in 2004, it's understood that their relation was under a turmoil. Whereas his time at Inter Milan under Jose Mourinho was one of his best with the Portuguese manager naming him one of the best in business.
So it's quite clear that Ibrahimovic's transfer would pave way for Jose Mourinho and the eventual sacking of Louis van Gaal.
