Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes that it is too soon to expect from his side to qualify for Champions League as it would count only at the end of the season.
According to Van Gaal, the team is going in the right direction despite facing a series of injuries, adding that it is too soon to now expect a Champions League spot, the Daily Star reported.
Van Gaal further said the most important thing is the fact the players are following the same philosophy, grabbing four back to back victories despite many changes in the squad.
United are currently placed fourth in the league's point table, with aiming a spot in next season's Champions League.
United have a chance to climb up to third position if they manage to beat Southampton on Monday.
