Magnus Carlsen will celebrate his 23rd birthday on November 30 as World Chess Champion after he dethroned Viswanathan Anand.

On Friday, the Norwegian needed just half a point more to win the title which he managed to earn courtesy a draw in the 10th Game.

Carlsen at 22 is a former chess prodigy, chess grand master, the No1 ranked player and now World Chess Champion. To add to his resume, Carlsen is also a model having appeared in G-Star Raw's Autumn/Winter 2010 advertising campaign with actress Liv Tyler which was photographed by Dutch personality Anton Corbijn. Carlsen was also selected as one of the sexiest men of 2013 by Cosmopolitan magazine. Time magazine also named Carlsen one of its 100 most influential people in the world in 2013.

Some features of Magnus Carlsen's game as a teenager was his attacking style which he rounded to make more universal later in his career. Playing a strong opening game and end game, Carlsen's game play often confuses opponents making it tough for them to beat him.

Viswanathan Anand at 43 is twice Magnus Carlsen's age and the body language of the two players showed in the 10 matches they played so far. Anand was crisp and upright as he played while Carlsen was droopy and slouched. However, when it came to moves, the younger man gave the Indian who was looking to defend his title a run for his money.

At a few days under 23, Magnus Carlsen has it all on his platter from good looks to awesome chess moves, the No1 ranking in the game and now the title of World Chess Champion.
