London: Speculations are rife that Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal would offer Manchester United veteran and current interim boss Ryan Giggs a senior position on his coaching staff if the Dutchman is named the new manager of the club.

Van Gall, who is expected to become the new United boss, has reportedly decided that he wants Giggs on his coaching staff at the club, as the Dutchman's appointment continues to be expected this week.Although Giggs has revealed that he would turn down any junior or token role on Van Gaal's staff, he appears likely to accept what would be a high-ranking position, the Guardian reported.

If Giggs accepts the offer he would reportedly continue his long term association with United, even though he would not play on at the club. Giggs is reportedly expected to star in United's clash against Hull City in what could be a last chance to play at Old Trafford and say farewell.

Meanwhile, Nemanja Vidic is set to depart for Inter Milan after the Hull City clash following eight years at United during which he won five Premier League crowns, the Champions League and three League Cups.

Vidic said that he has great memories at United, adding that he has learnt a lot, not just on the pitch but off the pitch as well during his association at the club.
