On Wednesday, the Delhi crowd will face a litmus test of their loyalties when their state captain Gautam Gambhir will step out in Kolkata Knight Riders' jersey against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in a tie which is a must-win for both the teams.

Both Delhi and Kolkata have registered only two victories from seven outings so far despite having champion players in their side. Now the onus will be on the star players to rise to the occasion.
Delhi lost both their home matches despite putting up a decent total. Though they surrendered to Chennai Super Kings after scoring 170-plus in the last tie, Dinesh Karthik and Murali Vijay being back among runs is a good sign. But a captain's knock from Kevin Pietersen is still due.

The Pietersen-led side's main worry is their bowling which lacked the spark in the tournament so far. They have speedsters like Mohammad Shami and Wayne Parnell but they have not been consistent.

On the other hand, Knight Riders, can only blame themselves for losing the previous game after losing six wickets in just eight balls. They certainly need the experience of Jacques Kallis to bring them back in hunt.

In the meanwhile, the form of Robin Uthappa and skipper Gambhir has brought some cheers in the camp. Gambhir will have to make sure that he spends some time in the middle while batting because the crowd is likely to be behind him.

Andre Russell hasn't worked so far but with Sunil Narine around it is just a matter of one good day when he along with Morne Morkel can start turning the tide for the Knights.
But to make matters worse, this is an afternoon match and the heat factor could trouble some of the players.
