Kevin Pietersen says he likes Aussie David Warner though England team hate him

Ousted England batsman Kevin Pietersen has said that England players hate Australia's David Warner but confessed that he likes the Test opener.

The fallout from the release of Pietersen's autobiography, on shelves in Australia next week, is continuing in England with the attention on Thursday turning to a parody Twitter account mocking the batsman and run by a friend of fast bowler Stuart Broad.

Pietersen's autobiography highlights the bitter breakdown of relations between him and others, including former England coach Andy Flower and wicketkeeper Matt Prior, culminating in their humiliating tour of Australia last summer when they were whitewashed 5-0 in the Ashes, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Pietersen wrote that in the third Test of the 2013-14 series, Warner went really hard at Matt Prior. He added that he had been a teammate or the Australian at Delhi Daredevils and got to know him really well and got on absolutely fine with him.

The South Africa born batsman further stated that people in the England dressing room hate Warner, but added that he realised with a bit of a guilty conscience that he quite liked the bloke.

So, Pietersen wrote that when it got hot and heavy between Warner and Prior he stepped in, adding that the Australian felt that the England wicketkeeper was personally abusing him, saying things that were over the line and he had to step in and calm them both.
