Arvind Kejriwal praised the league for popularising the sport amongst youngsters.

It seems like different sports apart from cricket are finally getting the attention they deserve. The Indian Super League (football), the Pro Kabaddi league, and the Hero Hockey India league have all garnered acceptable mediat attention. The Pro Kabaddi league has popularised the sport again and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is one who is impressed with the event. During an event organised by Star Sports Pro Kabaddi in association with the Delhi government, Kejriwal had some positive words to share about the initiative to promote kabaddi among young kids.

This, however, is not the first time that a prominent political heavyweight has batted for sports. When FIFA recently decided to host it's 2017 U-17 World Cup in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his radio show Mann Ki Baat, said the under-17 FIFA World Cup in 2017 is a big chance to present the Indian brand on the global level.
