Mumbai Indians' (MI) Corey Anderson will not play the rest of IPL 8 due to a fractured finger.
Anderson is allowing himself to recover for his county stint with Somerset and also for New Zealand's upcoming tour to England.
The news was confirmed on Thursday on eve of MI's game against Delhi Daredevils at the Ferozshah Kotla.
MI have already lost the Australian duo of Josh Hazlewood and Aaron Finch due to other injury issues. Anderson becomes the second New Zealand player after Adam Milne (RCB) to sit out of the IPL after injury issues.
