Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Sunil Narine is in fresh trouble as his 'ban' on bowling off-spinners has been extended to international cricket, reports confirm.

Narine was reported for a suspect action in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 22 and will reportedly undergo a bio-mechanical test on his bowling action in Chennai soon. Though Narine is allowed to bowl his 'knuckle-ball' delivery and other variations, he still is not allowed to bowl off-sinners. If he continued to bowl them, Narine risked being suspended from bowling in BCCI-organised matches.

IPL 8: KKR suffer blow as Narine banned from bowling off-spinners

This is the third time that Narine has been reported in a tournament run by the BCCI and he risks permanent suspension in international matches provided he gets called again. Narine was called twice during the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in 2014 and was barred from bowling in the final. Luckily, at that time, the ban wasn't recognised by the ICC.

The West Indian also skipped his country's tour of India in late 2014 and later withdrew from the World Cup squad, in a bid to work on his action. Australian veteran spinner Brad Hogg has been called up in Narine's place for KKR's IPL 8 matches now.
