Cheteshwar Pujara was the toast of the nation on Sunday as Team India took control of the third Test against Australia in Ranchi. The Saurashtra batsman's epic partnership with Wriddhiman Saha set the game up beautifully for the hosts, who would now be hoping of running through the Aussie batting line-up on Day 5.

Pujara's marathon innings of 202 off 525 balls lasted 668 minutes. And along the way, the 29-year-old became the first Indian to face 500 balls in an innings. The previous record of facing the most number of balls in an innings was held by the great Rahul Dravid, who had faced 495 balls against Pakistan in Rawalpindi in 2004.

Twitter had some interesting things to say about the length of Pujara's stay at the crease.
