Ian Healy recently said he's losing respect for Indian captain Virat Kohli. "The pressure is starting to tell on (Kohli). I'm losing respect for him. He's got to be a lot more respectful of his opponents. The stuff he did with Steve Smith was unacceptable,” were the former Aussie wicket-keeper's stinging comments.

So here's an incident that occurred during the second Test between India and Australia on Tuesday that'll put things in perspective.

Pacer Umesh Yadav trapped skipper Smith plumb in front of the wicket with a delivery that came in and stayed really low. With the visitors in a precarious position at 74 for 3 - chasing 188- Smith decided to have a quick word with his partner Peter Handscomb at the other end to see whether he should go for a DRS review. Since the Aussies had already blown a review earlier, involving David Warner, Smith wanted to be absolutely sure.

However, the premier Australian batsman didn't just stop there. As Handscomb was probably hesitating in telling his leader that he was a dead duck, Smith decided to go ahead and sneak some advice from his team-mates sitting almost 60 yards away in the dressing room.

Now, not only is that is a gross violation of the 'spirit of the game', but also of the rules of the game. A batsman cannot take advice from his mates sitting in the dressing room - with television screens right in front of them - and decide if he wants to take a review. He might as well then sit upstairs and give the decision himself. Rules pertaining to the usage of DRS clearly state that 'signals from dressing room must not be given'.

Naturally, Kohli was absolutely livid at Smith's outrageous attempt at cheating. Even as umpire Nigel Llong tried to rush to Smith and stop him, Kohli sprinted to the centre and gave his counterpart a piece of his mind. The fiery India captain had to then be whisked away by the umpires to calm him down.

With the leader of the Australian team stooping to such levels, wonder what 'respect' Healy is going on about.
