Indian badminton's sensations Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu won their respective singles matches to give India a 2-0 lead in the Uber Cup quarterfinal against Indonesia at the Siri Fort Sports Complex on Thursday.

While Saina beat World No. 23 Lindaweni Fanetri 21-17, 21-10 in the first singles to gain a 2-1 advantage in career meetings, World Championship bronze medallist Sindhu overcame Bellaetrix Manuputty 21-16, 10-21, 25-23 to give India a 2-0 lead.

Later in doubles, Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa got the better of World No. 9 pair Greysia Polii and Nitya Krishinda Maheswari 21-18 21-18. Dan leaves rivals awestruck
Chinese superstar Lin Dan has taken the international badminton by storm despite coming back after a year's break leaving his rival shuttlers at the Thomas Cup in awe of the maverick who goes by the nickname 'Super Dan'. "It is kind of mystery how he comes back and wins. He has not been playing for a year and it is kind of cool to go on winning after a break," said Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark.
