Athlete Sudha Singh returned from Rio de Janeiro with fever, fatigue, rapidly changing blood pressure and body ache on Saturday.

The athlete who performed in the steeplechase competition was admitted in a Bangalore hospital after she complained of fatigue and joint pain, according to a report by NDTV. The 30-year-old has been kept in isolation while her blood samples have been sent for Zika virus testing to virology institute.

Since the athlete from Uttar Pradesh was in Brazil for the tournament, where the virus has been a major concern, the doctors want to be extra cautious about it, although hoping that it is only a regular viral infection.

Along with Sudha, her roommates at Rio, OP Jaisha and Kavita Raut, are also reportedly down with fever. Although the Uttar Pradesh athlete Sudha's health is improving, Zika scare is of a major concern.
