From opponents to in-laws: Salil Ankola's daughter gets engaged to Sandeep Patil's son

Former Indian cricketer-turned actor Salil Ankola's daughter, Sana got engaged to Indian cricket team's chief selector, Sandeep Patil's son Chirag, reported The Times of India.

Sana, who is working for a magazine, have known Chirag (a producer and actor in Marathi cinema) since childhood. They started dating four years ago and decided to settle down recently, informed Ankola. 

He also said, "Sandeep was my idol, then my rival, my fellow teammate, captain and then coach for the Indian team. And now, we have graduated from being close friends to family."

Patil and Ankola played Ranji Trophy cricket against each other in the late 1980s. They were teammates in the same CCI and SunGrace Mafatlal outfits before being part of the 1996 Indian cricket team to England where Patil was coach and Ankola was a player.
