Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash has slammed local fans for their 'unpleasant behavior' during the Australian Open, urging fans to show 'respect' towards international players.

Alexander Kudryavtsev of Russia and Ernests Gulbis of Latvia were among the players who lost their patience on Tuesday. The Australian tennis legend said that one has to treat international players with respect if they are being invited there, adding that the crowds were out of control, News.com.au reported.

Cash further said that crowd behavior had been the 'disappointing thing' of the Australian Open for the last few years, the report added.
