Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been going through a tumultuous period off late with Shahid Afridi and Waqar Younis relinquishing their positions (captain and coach respectively) in the national team. Recently PCB was trolled mercilessly after it had floated a coach requirement advertisement on Twitter. However, it seems former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli, who is very active on social media wants to try his hand at something new as he expressed his desire to accept PCB's proposal.

The former left-hander tweeted to Pakistan journalist Asma Shiraz that he is ready to fill in Waqar's boots. "@asmashirazi. SalamAlekhum Asma ji.I heard PCB is looking for a Head coach .I am " Available"," read his exact post on twitter. Shiraz replied with thumbs up emoticon.

A Twitter user named Azeem Asim Mughal saw the funny side of the event as he tagged both Shiraz and Kambli in tweet and wrote, "@asmashirazi @vinodkambli349 For team doesn't come to pay in Pakistan. How will you manage to come and live in a 'dangerous' country???"

The Mumbaikar gave a witty reply to this tweet saying, "Bhaijaan Salam. Mein berojghaar nahin hoon.Agar wasim Akram IPL mein coach ban sakte hai toh mein Q nahin#PCB". (I am not unemployed. If Wasim Akram can coach and IPL team, why can't I takeover the PCB job?)
