Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan, who failed in his bid to become the next FIFA president, has said that Sepp Blatter was responsible for football world's governing actions and added that he would have resigned if he were in the latter's position.

Prince Ali hoped that at some stage Blatter would actually take responsibility for his actions, as he was the president of a governing body of the most popular sport in the world, CNN reported.

Blatter was re-elected for the fifth term on Friday by FIFA congress in Zurich.

Ali said that the genuine feeling among member associations and among the football world was that there needs to be a change for sure.
