Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has insisted that he has no plans to end his tax exile despite being slammed following his second title triumph.

The Briton was quick to drape himself in the British flag when he wrapped up the championship with victory last Sunday. But the champagne had barely gone flat when his decision to continue living in Monaco and so not contribute to the public purse was heavily criticised.

Hamilton would continue to live in his Monte Carlo apartment, where most grand prix drivers live, and the United States, The Daily Express reported.

Hamilton, who is set to sign a new 100 million pounds deal with Mercedes, said that it's not in his mind to go back to the UK on a permanent basis, adding that he would spend some time in the UK and would go and see his mother.

Hamilton said that he was born there, so it's always like going home, adding that one is going back to where one has started. But he also said that he has got his winter plans and always goes to the States, adding that it's his favourite place, where he has his house.

Hamilton said that then he would get back to Monaco, adding that it's generally beautiful weather when he wakes up and likes being by the sea, it's a nice view.
