From how recent events have unfolded, it is safe to say that there are more fans of German football teams among Indian cricket players than any other European teams.

During the Euro tournament, Indian Test captain Virat Kohli showed his support to Germany and Toni Kroos. Kross reciprocated in kind by sending a signed jersey to Kohli.

Now, Ajinkya Rahane and Arjen Robben of Bayern Munich are bonding over their Diwali gift exchange!

To please the fan base in India, a lot of European football clubs have posted wishes for Diwali. Some also posted in Hindi! Bayern Munich went the extra mile. They sent across a team jersey with Ajinkya Rahane's name and the number 27 which he uses for his Team India jersey.

Delighted Rahane posted a video thanking the club and wishing his fan a happy Diwali.

He was also quick to respond. He sent a team India jersey with his name and number on it. Bayern Munich posted an image of their forward and Dutch star Arjen Robben holding that jersey with a wide grin on his face as the club hoped their Indian fans had a very happy Diwali.

Now, after an average performance in Test series against New Zealand, Rahane is looking to up his game against England when the series starts on November 9. As for Bayern Munich, they will face PSV Eindhoven in their Champions League clash on Tuesday.
