Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin believes that the side will not complicate the game they love when they face India in next week's first Test.

Haddin said that he doesn't think one needs to look too deep into what's going to happen, adding that one is going to get a cricket game there on Tuesday, the people would enjoy it and so would the team.

Haddin said that the Australian team gets back to playing the game they love, adding that he doesn't believe one needs to complicate it any more than that, Stuff.co.nz reported.

The Australian team attended a training session on Saturday at Adelaide Oval, the venue of the rescheduled first Test against India.

Haddin was playing for NSW when late batsman Phillip Hughes was struck by a bouncer at the SCG, a tragic event that has deeply affected cricketers around the country.

It would have been particularly confronting for Haddin and his NSW teammates, who immediately realised how serious the situation was and frantically called for an ambulance.

Haddin confirmed in a typical no-nonsense fashion that he would be mentally right to play the opening chapter of the four-Test series. He didn't mention Hughes' passing and the grief that enveloped the entire Test squad on Saturday.

Haddin said that cricket is just a game, adding that they can try to complicate it as much as they want, but claimed that they got back to cricket training. He said that they needed to feel that cricket hurt in their legs again so they got that.

The wicketkeeper-batsman said that they need the support of the Australian public and everyone leading into this first Test, adding that they are looking forward to playing as it is their job.
