The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)  has received a massive jolt as two of the prominent state associations in the country have declined to host upcoming international matches.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) stepped back from hosting the one-off Test against Bangladesh (February 8 to 12) while the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has expressed its inability to host two two under-19 Test matches between India and England at Chennai (February 13 to 16 and February 21 to 24).

Lack of funds is the reason cited by the HCA for its decision, whereas the TNCA said it would be unable to host the matches "due to various domestic programs scheduled during the period," reports sportstarlive.com. According to a senior BCCI employee, who was removed from office because of the Supreme Court's order on January 3, there is a great possibility of other full members of the cricket board following suit and refusing to offer venues for upcoming matches in the country.
