It took them only 54 minutes to take down the Aussie pair of Dellacqua-Reid who committed 13 unforced errors through the match.
The wildcards Paes-Hingis secured a break in the eighth game of the second set and the Aussie wildcards lost the match right after that.
The unseeded Indo-Swiss pair swept aside the Australian duo of Destanee Aiava and Marc Polmans 6-4, 6-3 in the opening-round contest that lasted for 51 minutes.
On Saturday, Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski had to dig deep to beat Michael Venus and Katarina Srebotnik 6-4 6-7, 10-7 in a super tie-breaker.
A little later, the second seeded pairing of Mirza and Croatia's Ivan Dodig got the better of reigning US Open defending champions, Laura Siegemund and Mate Pavic, in another first round match. The final scoreline read 7-5, 6-4.
