The first meeting between Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA) and three 'eligible' BCCI office-bearer proved to be a stormy one on Monday with joint secretary Amitabh Chaudhary apparently losing his cool during the 90-minute long discussion.

DNA has reliably learnt that it all happened when COA clarified to all the three BCCI officials including vice-president CK Khanna and treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary – that calling Special General Meeting (SGM) on April 9 or National Cricket Academy meeting on Tuesday without its approval would be termed as null and void and thus has to be rescheduled.

"I will see you. You cannot dictate us like this. Go and read court ruling carefully," were some of the sentences that Jharkhand's former president was heard murmuring.

However, COA clearly told the three that "they have to function under the supervision of the administrators as per SC verdict".

"They (BCCI officials) were told that they have to function under the supervision of the COA. And the seven-point code that COA released on Sunday was presented to them," was how a source said after the meeting.

It has been learnt that all three office bearers agreed to call SGM and NCA meeting at some other date. "Obviously, the SGM and NCA meet will happen at a later date. But that would only happen as per the agenda given by COA. That has been made clear to all," was how COA source added.

As far as the preparations for Indian Premier League is concerned, all three were told to speed up things as tournament is hardly nine days away.

"They have been told to go through minutes of all meetings pasted on BCCI website. They have been also told to speed up the proceedings so that the pending work (related to IPL) is complete. We expect everyone to work as a team to make the upcoming IPL tournament a grand success," said the source.

It must be made clear here that COA on late Sunday evening had issued a seven-point code for the office bearers where they are only asked to communicate to Vinod Rai and company through CEO Rahul Johri.

Johri has also been made joint signatory along with Amitabh. In case of any dispute between the two, COA decision would be binding.

In simple terms, the three BCCI officials are there with "no real power whatsoever".
