11-member karate team for Japan

A total of 11 karate exponents will be part of the Indian contingent at the seventh KWF World Karate Championships to be held in Hokkaido, Japan from September 25-27.

The Indian team shall depart for the tournament, that will see 56 nations participate, on September 22.

The Karatenomichi World Federation Japan karate academy is affiliated to KWF headquarters in Japan. The body is an approved member of the Karate Association of India which is recognised by the Government of India (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports)
