Xiaomi Mi Note 2 possible specifications and release date leaked

For the past few months, rumours that have been circulating around Xiaomi's upcoming Mi Note 2 says that the smartphone will sport Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 821 processor. Now, new information has emerged stating that there will be another low-end version of the much-anticipated smartphone.

According to the speculations, the high-end variant of the Mi Note 2 is reportedly sporting a 5.7-inch 2K display, Snapdragon 821 chipset, 6GB RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. While the low-end version is rumoured to be coming with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal Storage.

According to a report from AndroidPure, both smartphones will come with 3D curved glass, Type-C port, fingerprint scanner and a dual 13-megapixel rear camera.

Information that popped up on Weibo suggests that both devices are slated to be released on September 14 and will carry a price tag of 2,999 yuan (Approx Rs 29,800.)

There is also another image leaked on the same site, showing the numbers “9.24” at the bottom which points to a September 24th release date as opposed to September 14.

We will only know for sure when the much-anticipated smartphone is to be released when Xiaomi makes an official announcement.
