How to use a PS4 or Xbox One controller on Windows PC

Even though PC gamers may have an edge over console gamers when it comes to First Person Shooters, playing an Action/Adventure platformer game with a mouse and keyboard can get tiresome really quick. Thankfully, there are some third party softwares that can give PC gamers the best of both worlds although you will need a PlayStation 4 controller, a micro-USB data cable and a computer or laptop running the latest Windows software..

PS4 Controller

Step 1: Using any internet browser on you PC, download a software called DS4Windows from this website.

Step 2: After you have finished downloading the file, Unzip it anywhere and double click on the DS4Windows launcher. You will then see the DS4Windows installation Window, simply follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete. If prompted, also install the latest driver of DS4Windows.

Step 3: Connect the PS4 controller to your computer or laptop via a micro USB data cable or through Bluetooth connectivity. 

Step 4: Once you have completed the above steps, you should be able to play games using the PS4 Controller. You can also customise the button layout, increase or reduce analogue sensitivity and much more

Xbox One Controller

The setup is much easier with an Xbox One Control. Simply connect an Xbox One controller to you PC or Laptop and Windows will automatically install the drivers for the controller.
