Sony India today unveiled its flagships Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium, the world’s first 4K smartphone. Xperia Z5 and Z5 premium are the latest additions to the Xperia family.
Xperia Z5 features Sony’s brand new large 1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile 23MP sensor and F2.0 G Lens - Sony’s first completely re-imagined smartphone camera element since Xperia Z1. The camera is capable of the fastest autofocus in a smartphone, just 0.037 seconds. The Z5 has a metal frame and frosted glass back. With a 5.2-inch display, the phone is available in Graphite Black, Gold and Green.
There's a new integrated fingerprint sensor power button on the side of the device. It will also support the FIDO standard authentication via fingerprint for online payment services. Both Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium variants in India have dual SIM support. The Xperia Z5 is powered by the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, and supports Quick Charge 2.0 to give you 5.5 hours usage with just 10 minutes of charging.
Xperia Z5 Premium is the world’s first 4K smartphone with a 5.5” 4K TRILUMINOS Display for mobile, and enhance any native or third party videos or photos viewed on the device. Xperia Z5 Premium is also powered by the Snapdragon 810 processor, and has a high capacity 3430mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0.
The Xperia Z5 Premium comes with 32GB internal memory, and has the capability to take a 200GB external microSD card. It also feature’s Sony’s memory on display feature - the data transfer between processor and device is optimised so the device caches the image or video viewed before so that one doesn’t need to reload the full image each time to view it –safeguarding battery power in the process.
Both Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium, come with a Sony Quick Charger at no extra cost. Customers can also redeem a Smart Cover for their Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium worth Rs 3,500 from Xperia Lounge for free. The Xperia Z5 Premium can be pre booked at leading stores across India from October 25 to November 4. The Xperia Z5 will be available from Oct 23 at Rs 52,990, and the Z5 Premium will be available from Nov 7 at Rs 62,990.
