Snapchat just unleashed Frank Ocean filters, ahead of new album release

Snapchat has unveiled a pair of customized Frank Ocean filters, ahead of the singer's highly-anticipated next album release.

The musician's second album, "Boys Don't Cry", is expected to drop at some point today (August 5), according to sources close to Apple Music (via International Business Times).

The two filters, unleashed just in time to capitalize on the hype around Ocean's new record, both reference the album's release, with the first in the style of the Mac's OSX TextEdit window -- which Frank Ocean has previously used to share statements in screen grabs -- with the words: "Dear Frank Ocean..." written in the box. The second filter features a bored skeleton head with the words: "Waiting for Frank Ocean's music like".

"Boys Don't Cry" will mark Ocean's latest music release since his debut album "Channel Orange" in 2012.
