Samsung launched the Galaxy A8 smartphone for its users in India today.

Samsung, today announced the launch of the Galaxy A8, the newest addition to its smartphone family in India. The Galaxy A8 is the slimmest (5.9mm) smartphone that Samsung has launched to date.
The Galaxy A8 that boasts of a full metal body, runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is powered by Octa-Core (1.8GHz Quad Core + 1.3GHz Quad Core) Exynos 5430 processor with 2GB RAM. It houses 32GB of internal memory that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. The device has a 5.7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display, a 16MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with wide-angle lens.
The Galaxy A8 comes with Dual SIM capabilities in which the second slot can be used as a microSD slot. The 151 gram smartphone is equipped with a fingerprint scanner that also doubles as a home button. It has connectivity options such as 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ GLONASS and is backed by a 3050mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 will be available in Black, White and Gold colors and is priced at Rs 32,500.
