Samsung launches Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in India for under Rs 34,000

The 2017 versions of the smartphones will be available March 15.

Samsung has launched the latest iterations in its A series of smartphones in India, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017). Both smartphones originally debuted at CES 2017, and will be available in Black Sky and Gold Sand colours in India.

The Galaxy A5 features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080x1920) Super AMOLED display with a 16MP rear camera and front cameras. It has a 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos 7880 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable). It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 3000mAh battery. It also comes with an IP68-rating for dust and water resistance and has dual SIM as well as 4G and VoLTE support.

While the Galaxy A7 shares most of its counterpart’s specifications, it instead has a 5.7-inch full HD (1080x1920) Super AMOLED display and sports a 3600mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced at Rs 28,990, while the Galaxy A7 (2017) is priced at Rs 33,490.
