Brian May has, over the decades, made a career out of being a rockstar, particularly known for his time as lead guitarist for the iconic rock band Queen. But he goes by another name these days; Dr Brian May.

Unbeknownst to many, May has a doctorate in astrophysics, and was recently recognised by NASA as a science collaborator for the New Horizon's mission. He even spent some time with the mission team this past week, poring over images transmitted from the probe during the Pluto flyby.

Brian May has also used images off the New Horizon's high resolution camera to create the world's first stereoscopic image of Pluto. Camera lenses, by virtue of design, don't give us the full image we might see with our naked eye. Instead, we get more of a one-eyed view, lacking depth perception. You can find the link to May's image here.
