Premium audio brand Sonos adds Apple Music support

Owners of Sonos premium wireless speaker systems around the world can now officially access all of Apple's streaming service features.

From Wednesday, Sonos users with an Apple Music subscription will find that the service is now supported within the main Sonos control app. In other words, the app will become an alternative remote control for all Apple Music features from ‘For You' and ‘New' to, of course, direct access to the complete Apple catalogue.

The reason why it's taken so long for the two systems to come together is because Sonos has been running a comprehensive beta program to ensure everything worked perfectly. "The feedback from Apple Music members on Sonos during the beta period has been great," said Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. "Sonos plus Apple Music provides an amazing listening experience at home - and we're excited to offer it to all Sonos customers."
