OnePlus 3 'Soft Gold' variant announced; coming soon to India

To add a luxurious touch to the OnePlus 3, the company will now release a Soft Gold variant of the device. The news was made official on the company website and shared launch and availably details for the same. However, price details have not been unveiled.

According to the company blog, “This isn’t your typical gaudy gold smartphone. We’ve toned the color down for a light, elegant look. To complement this more low-profile take on gold, we went with a subtle texture reminiscent of holding fine, silky-soft sand.” For fans in India, the company added, "We’ll have more information on the exact launch date for India soon. "

Mentioned below are the international launch dates and time as well.

US - July 26, 12:00 pm US Eastern time

EU - August 1, 12:00 pm CEST

HK - August 1, 6:00 pm Hong Kong time

CA - August 1, 6:00 am Canada Eastern time

In terms of specifications, the device packs in the same specifications. It features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080) AMOLED display at 401ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The phone has a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs 6GB of DDR4 RAM and 64GB internal storage.

It has a 16MP f2.0 rear camera with OIS and 4K video capability, and an 8MP f/2.0 front cam. The OnePlus 3 is powered by a 3000mAh battery with the company’s new Dash Charge technology. Not only does it use a custom charging cable, but OnePlus says the technology can get the phone to 60 percent (a full day’s battery) in 30 minutes.

The device runs the company’s own OxygenOS, out of the box. It has dual nano-SIM and 4G LTE support. It also has a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button.
