Consumer Reports has announced that the new MacBook Pro has failed to receive the agency's recommendation. The publication says that the performance of the battery was too inconsistent.
“In terms of battery life, we found that the models varied dramatically from one trial to another,” said Jerry Beilinson from Consumer Reports.
This is the first MacBook that publication has not recommended to its readers.
In an interesting turn of events, Apple Senior Vice President of Marketing Phil Schiller has announced that Apple is working with CR to understand the battery issue.

According to CR, the battery life of the laptops could last anywhere between 3.75 hours to 19.5 hours.
“In a series of three consecutive tests, the 13-inch model with the Touch Bar ran for 16 hours in the first trial, 12.75 hours in the second, and just 3.75 hours in the third. The 13-inch model without the Touch Bar worked for 19.5 hours in one trial but only 4.5 hours in the next. And the numbers for the 15-inch laptop ranged from 18.5 down to 8 hours,” said Consumer Reports.
