Motorola launched two devices globally, in July this year, while India got a new Moto G Gen 3. Of those two, the Moto X Play then made its way to the Indian smartphone scene in September. And now, finally, we're getting the last of those devices, the all-new Motorola X Style, set to release here on October 8 .
The Moto X Style is a ful-fledged phablet, with a 5.7-inch quadHD (2560x1440) display with 515 ppi and Gorilla Glass 3. It packs the new hexa-core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808, coupled with 3GB RAM and Adreno 418 GPU, and comes in 16/32/64GB storage variants (expandable up to 128GB). It sports a 21MP f/2.0 rear shooter with 4K recording, and a 5MP front cam with LED flash. The phone is powered by a 3000mAh battery, will have 4G support, and will run Android 5.1.1.
So how much can we expect the Moto X Style to cost? Well, consider the Moto X Play, if you will. It has a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080) display at 403 ppi with Gorilla Glass 3, and packs a 1.7GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, with an Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. There's a 21MP rear shooter with Blue Glass filter, dual LED CCT flash and 1080p recording, and a 5MP front shooter. Available in 16GB and 32GB storage variants, with micro SD card support up to 128GB, and is powered by a 3630mAh battery with dual 4G SIM slots. We expected that price to be closer to Rs 25,000, but Motorola announced it with a Rs 18,500 price tag for the 16GB storage variant and Rs 20,000 for the 32GB. That in mind, we can probably expect the Moto X Style to cost between 22K and 25K. All eyes on Motorola's announcement on Thursday, and you can bet it'll go on sale on Flipkart right after.
